Season preview

1st XI
With what looks to be an exciting season ahead given the change in structure post 2018 we look strong and hope to build on a solid season in 2017. We welcome back Steven Sandhu from Moseley which is a huge boost with bat and ball. Lewis and Adam Peat join us from Lichfield to provide depth with the ball and also some useful lower order runs. Finally a new overseas pro by the name of Sanjay Ranswamy will be an excellent addition providing the visa paperwork comes through! All in all a lot to look forward to and hopefully a successful season ahead. Be great to see people at the club when the sun comes out to enjoy the cricket!

2nd XI
As we gear up for what we hope to be a successful season, preparations are well under way with a warn up game scheduled for 21st April against Bridgnorth. With an increasing number of juniors doing and developing well, we expect a number of them to be knocking at the second team door.
Here’s praying for a successful injury free season all round. Blessings

3rd XI
Following our title winning season, in 2017, we hope to continue our winning ways, and attempt to bring more success to the club. Playing in a higher division will bring about new challenges, but ones that we all hope to thrive upon.
I have high aspirations for the coming season, and we all have our eyes set on one goal.
Here’s to a fun, enjoyable and successful season for all players involved.

4th XI
After a challenging league campaign last season, with many new faces joining the side, I’m looking forward to pushing for promotion this campaign. With the strength in depth we have at the club now, there is no reason why we cannot be right in the mix. It promises to be an exciting year for the 4’s!

5th XI
The 5th XI will be playing in league cricket for the first time in 2018. The focus of the 5th XI is to give our young players a taste of adult cricket and to tempt out a few old uns to help them along! Results are absolutely irrelevant to the 5th XI – what matters is creating more opportunities for players!
